HISTORY
Fruit has historically played an important role in Japanese gift giving culture. During the 14th century, samurais would offer melons to the Shogun as a sign of loyalty and appreciation. Today, this attitude still exists. Japanese melons are grown with great care, using the perfect soil, seeds and pruning methods, to make them look and taste heavenly.
SCIENCE
Melon extract contains antioxidants, vitamins A and C that all help to protect the skin against free radical damage and ageing. It is also rich in folic acid that aids in minimising fine lines and wrinkles. Furthermore, it also has anti-inflammatory effects which can help to soothe irritated skin.
